Power 104 presents The Trews at the OK Corral Saturday January 26th
Join the Power Peeps for an amazing night of music
Civilianaires is The Trews most fearless record yet. With personal and political lyrics driven by a refreshing new sound, the album features production credits from up and comer Derek Hoffman (The Elwins, Seaway) and the legendary Bob Rock. The Trews also worked alongside Max Kerman from Arkells, who co-wrote and co-produced their second single "Vintage Love", along with a co-write with Serena Ryder on the title track.
Earlier this spring the band released, "The New US", the first track from Civilianaires. Viewed through the lens of our current political climate, the band describes "The New US" as ".... a call-to-arms for us all to try and cut through the static, noise, clutter and b.s. of the insane times that we find ourselves living in and hopefully seek out a little truth for ourselves in the process...or at least give you something to head bang along to in frustration in the meantime."
Following on the heels of “The New US” the band released the second radio single “Vintage Love” which is currently charting at Active Rock as well as the track “Bar Star.” About “Bar Star” lead singer Colin MacDonald says " The lyrics are ultimately about hope and love and finding meaning and connection in the darkest of times. It's important to come together and share our experiences, even if it's for a couple of hours at the pub down the street."
