Ellison’s Handcrafted Christmas Kick-Off
Today your Power 104 Events Crew checked out the Handcrafted Christmas Market at the Ellison Community Hall!
This year’s first snowfall was a reminder of the upcoming holiday season! Some of Kelowna’s holiday shoppers decided to beat the rush and stop by this year’s Handcrafted Christmas Market to pick up a unique and thoughtful gift.
The Christmas Market is sponsored by the Frayed and Feathered Artisan Cooperative. This was the 4th annual market showcasing local, hand-crafted artisan projects. Artisans have been busy preparing their items for display.
We were on location playing Kelowna’s Best Rock outside at the Power 104 tent! We were also giving away Power tattoos and SunRype. Inside, there was even free hot chocolate.
As you entered the hall, you couldn’t help but notice the beautiful wreaths and outdoor decor for sale. There was an impressive selection of handcrafted wind chimes as well as jewelry and Christmas decorations. Pottery, wood carvings, paintings, and photographs were just some of the other beautiful items for sale.
Sylvia Fleming, a red seal chef, was busy serving warm and delicious meals! She was also taking holiday baking orders with proceeds benefiting the EPR’s Society’s School Bursary!
If you were not able to join in the festivities today, stop by day two of the Handcrafted Christmas Market tomorrow November 11th from 10-4. Thank you to the artisans, organizers, and supporters for making this event possible.
