Kelowna hours and events for long weekend
To mark the B.C. Family Day statutory holiday, Kelowna City Hall will be closed Monday, Feb. 12.
The Glenmore Landfill will be open regular hours, 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Families are invited to put on their dancing shoes to enjoy a fun-filled evening together at the all-ages family dance party on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 6 to 9 p.m.at the Parkinson Activity Centre. The free event includes a DJ and party games.
Families can also enjoy some quality, active time together at the free Family Fun Day at the Capital News Centre from 1 to 4 p.m. on Monday Feb. 12. Various games including Park & Play, Zorb soccer, rocks & rings and other activities will be available to guarantee a fun, safe and active day together. The afternoon also includes a free skate. Bring your own skates or rentals are available for a fee. Remember to also bring your own helmet to stay safe on the ice.
