What’s your ideal Sunday FUNday?
Here’s what ours looked like!
First off we hit the YMCA Cycle for Strong Kids, at H2O fitness center. There were groups every hour hitting those spin bikes, we were afraid they were going to take off because they were killing it so hard! SO impressive. Spin class is difficult when it’s inside, let alone outside in the heat! Phewf. We were working up a sweat just looking at them.

Next, we went to Chances Kelowna for their Spring into Summer BBQ! As soon as we stepped out of the Power Patrol car, the smell of burgers invaded us. I don’t think there could be a better welcome. Easy Fix – the live band on site, was setting the tone, and keeping the excitement going. The Kelowna Fire Department was there serving up the burgers for everyone to enjoy, as well as games, prizes and demo booths. We hope there’s another one soon, it was great!

Last but certainly not least, The Kelowna Sushi and Sake Festival. It was completely sold out when I arrived, and with good reason! All food aside, the entertainment was mesmerizing! There was a traditional Japanese fashion show, as well as Yamabiko Taiko Drumming (Large Japanese Drums), Samisen and Percussion (3 string styled guitar music) as well as a speech from none other than Mayor Colin Basran!
What an exciting day it has been!
Keep tuning in and logging on to find what event the Power Patrol will be at next!
