Allison Ramchuk, YMCA-YWCA Okanagan -Strong Kids Campaign Coordinator
Dear: Bob & Jazz, Steve & Heather, Sue, Troy and everyone who helps us make a difference … There is something different about your team; your not like other radio stations … you are like a family of people who come together because they love what they do and really care for the community and the people in it. You and your team are authentic with a real grassroots feel that provides comfort while delivering impeccable service.
You have all been unbelievably generous and invested in the many campaigns that we done over the years. From our annual Strong Kids Campaign, the Capital Expansion Campaign and the ever growing Spin for Kids, Power and the Q have gone over and beyond what we expected, donating and transmitting countless hours of radio time, jock talk and interviews to help us reach the homes of thousands in Kelowna.
As a charity, community partnerships with businesses that share in the belief that all kids should have the opportunity to have a place where they belong, is vital to our success. Thank you for helping the YMCA-YWCA have a positive impact on all, and especially on children and teens living in low income families and poverty, dramatically enhancing their health and overall wellbeing. Your commitment to us and your on-going support has had a lasting impact on thousands of children and families in our community.
From one of our Spin participants:
“It was really cool seeing Q103 live at the event and connecting with everyone there. It is nice to put a face to the names you hear and love on the radio, and even better to see them in action at an event that is helping so many kids in Kelowna! The crew helped take the event to the next level … looking forward to seeing them there next year!"
Thank you from everyone here at the Y … we sincerely look forward to the years to come and wish you guys all the best.

Hansen's Classic Pizza - Mark Hansen, Owner/Operator
When I opened up Hansen's Classic Pizza in Kelowna, I knew we needed to advertise, and radio was the first choice. Unfortunately, the first radio station we advertised with did not produce the results we hoped. Instead of listening to my ideas, they worked very hard to fit me into their "framework" of advertising. "You have to do this, we can't do that..." was how many of our conversations went. I swore off radio.
A few months later I was approached by the sales team at Power 104. I turned them down. They came back, and we decided to give radio one more shot.
The folks at Power listened to what I wanted, took control and came up with an ad campaign that fit my needs, and more importantly, it worked. We saw instant results from our radio ads, almost overwhelming. Every day people would come into our shop and talk about what they had heard on the radio.
The sales staff, the ad production team, and the DJ's at Power 104 have provided a great experience and exceptional service. I look forward to working with Power 104 again.

Brent is a graduate of The British Columbia Institute of Technology's Radio Broadcasting Program and has been working in the industry for almost a decade. Always having a passion for broadcasting, Brent has worked in several departments within the industry. Everything from hosting his own morning show, to creating and executing promotions and now strategically implementing marketing solutions for our local business' to help them achieve brand awareness within the Central Okanagan and a larger market share with adults in the Money Demo. Working with Power 104 and Q103.1 is about achieving your marketing goals, big or small and having some fun while we do it. You can't spell the word, "Radio," without the word, "RAD!"

Wet Zone Home Leisure, Pool and Spa - Chris Glennon, Owner
Brent has been our Marketing Representative from Power 104 and Q103.1 for over a year and a half now. Not only does he have a firm grasp on the local radio scene but I also use him as a resource for other avenues of marketing in the Central Okanagan. Working with Power 104, Q103.1 and Brent has been a great experience, and I would recommend these two quality radio stations to any business looking to talk to adults in the Money Demo.

Chris graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2006 with a Management Degree with a focus on marketing. After years of traveling the world he found his home in Kelowna in 2010. Since Chris started working with Power 104 and Q103•1 in 2010 he has helped numerous start-up and established businesses position themselves in the marketplace with creative commercials and promotions. He has seen great success stories because with the right message delivered with the right frequency to a demographic of people in YOUR market, sales and traffic to your place of business will increase and you will see a positive return on your advertising investment.
See what Chris's Clients have to say:
Doggytopia
I started working with Chris in January of 2011 and have since seen a very nice growth in my business. Through fresh creative commercials run on a continuous basis, Doggytopia is now a business that more and more people know about. I decided to continue marketing my business on Power 104 and Q1031 because of the results that have been delivered to my business. Since I have started I have experienced some of the busiest times during traditionally slower parts of the year. Thanks Chris for all your hard work and dedication.
The Tickle Trunk
I was aware of the attrition rate of any business, and knew that it is important to continually be reminding people of who you are and what you do. There are many options for businesses to accomplish this. I decided to work with Chris because of his passion for marketing and advice on positioning in the marketplace. I have continued marketing with Power 104 and Q1031 because the stations are hitting the demographic I want to hear my message, and they continue to go above and beyond my expectations.

I have had the pleasure of working with David Michaud over the past couple of years and he has always taken a “Customer First” approach with me, which is something I appreciate. It’s never nice to feel like someone is trying to “sell” you, which is one of the reasons I enjoy working with David. It’s always a collaborative effort to put together the right deal for me at the time. I strongly recommend David’s work. - Gord Hayes, General Manager Kelowna BMW.
