Taste of Kelowna 2005
3500 famished food fans flocked to the Grand for the Taste of Kelowna March 6. Montana's won Peoples Choice. Their BBQ back Rib Tips, Fireside Antojitos and honey apple cobbler made for long lines. Freddies Brew Pub takes Judges Choice for Second Year. Awesome Food, Great suds. Nice going Sweet Cheeks. Power's Bob Mills was one of the judges who now knows 31 eateries better than anyone else in town. Thanks to Tim and his organizing crew from BCRFA. A whole bunch of money is going to three charities.

Ladies Night at the Bear 2003
Ladies Night at the Bear proved to be another huge success this year with over 100 ladies attending on a weekly basis. It was a great year of golf, awesome food and a fabulous prize table.
Thank you to all golfers who came out on a weekly basis as they contributed in raising over $2,000 to the Kelowna Woman's Shelter. Kim Douglas from the Okanagan Golf Club, was pleased to make the cheque presentation at the year end wind up on August 12th.
Miss Weill's Grade 8 Class
Little Johnny visits Miss Weill's grade 8 class at Constable Neil Bruce. 45 kids wanted to know about radio. 2 listen to Power. The last time John was in a classroom the inkwell was still a major function of the desk. Thanks teach, thanks kids, it was lots of fun.

Anna - Another Full and Satsified Winner
Every time Bob said the word 'Meat', Anna had to Eat. But it was worth it. 4 1/2 pounds of Meatloaf and three beanos later she won Front Row Seats to the concert . Anna and friend will also be behind stage with The Meat Man himself.
