There is a slowly shrinking list of video games that I feel comfortable purchasing without reading a review. God of War is one of them. This series has spanned 13 years and has never, really, delivered a miss. Ahead of God of War’s (4) April 20th release, I’m trying to power my way through God of War 3, but dammit is Hades hard to kill!
Either way, if I’m not done by April 20th, I’ll be starting this game for sure! It has everything I need in a video game… violence… gratuitous nudity… that’s about all my boxes checked! Yesterday we were graced with, most likely, the final push of marketing for the new release. A cinematic CGI trailer that gives us a little more insight into the Father/Son relationship between Kratos and Atreus.
The crazy part is, even though this is a cinematic trailer, it’s most likely the caliber of graphics we’ll get with the game! It seems like the game-play is going to be more 3-rd person action than we’ve had in the past. Yes it’s been 3-rd person in previous games, bu this seems more “over the shoulder” like we get in The Witcher, Uncharted and other games of this nature. It also looks like we’re going to be protecting Atreus for most of the game. Teaching him lessons, imparting knowledge and having him slaughter thousands of minions and gods along the way.
BRING IT!
