A weekend filled with art, music, culture and unique experiences is just around the corner as the eighth annual Culture Days returns from Sept.29 to Oct.1. Over 50 free activities and events will be popping up in the Cultural District, Downtown and throughout Kelowna.
The annual three-day national celebration is an event that sees artists and cultural organizations in over 900 hundred cities and towns across Canada come together and invite Canadians to participate in free, interactive and “behind the scenes” activities to discover their cultural spirit and passion.
Activities in Kelowna include Symphony at the Library, Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society Blanket Exercise, Japanese Tea Ceremony, Classical Arts 101 Series, Theatre workshops, and a Nuit Blanche Kick Off Concert to start the weekend off right.
“Culture Days is a unique opportunity for people to try new things and experience arts and culture in a new way,” said Caroline Ivey, Cultural Services Coordinator. “The weekend is packed full of a variety of activities and there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy. So come out and explore the many aspects of your creative community.”
